$7.20 for a great seat at the 1945 World Series at Wrigley Field...WOW. The Cubs vs the Detroit Tigers. The Cubs winning games 1 and 3 at Detroit. The series then shifted to Wrigley Field. The Tigers came back to win games 4 and 5 . Game 6 went 12 innings, Cubs win 8 to7. Hank Borowy started game 7 and gave up three singles and one run to the first three batters. He was pulled out but it didn't do much good. The Tigers went on to win a 9 - 3 victory and the World Championship.
